DOBBS FERRY - A woman suffered a head injury when her car went over the guardrail and hit a tree on the Saw Mill River Parkway this morning.

The woman was conscious after the 8:45 a.m. accident on the northbound parkway just south of Lawrence Street, said Westchester County police Lt. Michael Palumbo. She was taken to the Westchester Medical Center,

The right lane was closed until 10 a.m. while a flatbed truck removed the car.

No charges were filed against the woman, police said.
